The Cleveland Indians Baseball Company created the media enterprise Fastball Sports Productions, LLC in December 2005. Fastball Sports Productions is a sports entertainment company with a primary objective of establishing and operating a new regional sports network, SportsTime Ohio.
The purpose of SportsTime Ohio is to provide fans with exceptional regional sports programming, beginning with quality coverage of the Cleveland Indians. SportsTime Ohio's initial venture was the largest television package in Indians team history with 158 games annually. Additional programming has been created to cater to Ohio sports fans with year round coverage of the Indians. Originally STO was only on the air 8 hours a day and added 24/7 programming in 2007 followed by a dedicated HD Channel in 2008. STO's programming expands beyond baseball with coverage of the Browns, Ohio State, Cleveland State, golf, and outdoors programming. SportsTime Ohio is Your Home for Ohio Sports.
